Brief Background about the Position

Plan International believes that in a world where children face so many threats of harm, it is its duty to ensure that Plan International, as an organisation, do everything it can to keep children safe. This means that Plan International have particular responsibilities to children that it comes into contact with and must not contribute in any way to harming or placing children at risk.

Duties and Responsibilities

The post holder will provide timely, accurate financial information and ensure that Grant expenditures are in line with specific FAD/donor requirements. The role’s support is to the ARCH project in Yobe and Adamawa. He/she will contribute towards the financial management of the office and programmes, interfacing with both operational and programme team members, and will also contribute towards the organisational development of Plan International’s implementing partners

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

Plan International is looking to recruit person (s) with:

Education

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in donor funds grants administration.
  • Experience working with sub-grantees required.

Language

  • Fluency in local language and English required.
  • Preferred qualifications: knowledge of and experience with the key donors in the industry is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the SAP system
  • Experience providing capacity development assistance to sub-grantees is strongly preferred.
