Background About Care About Climate Change (CAC)

CAC is an international community of youth united, empowered, and educated to advance equitable climate solutions from the local to global level. CAC seeks to organize a network of International young climate leaders empowered to equitably address the climate crisis by bridging knowledge with action and sharing their climate solutions on the international stage.

Brief Information About the Ambassador Volunteer Positions

Thank you for your interest in serving as an NDC Ambassador with Care About Climate (CAC). Care About Climate is a non-profit organization that aims to empower global youth to equitably address the climate crisis by bridging knowledge with action. As part of the Paris Agreement, which is a global agreement among countries to mitigate, adapt to, and finance action on climate change, countries are required to submit Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). These contributions document what countries are committing to doing to tackle climate change. While many organizations review countries’ NDCs, few are analyzed through a youth and feminist perspective. A Care About Climate Project analyzing the successes and failures in equity and justice of country Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), the national climate commitments at the heart of the Paris Agreement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Currently, CAC is seeking to bridge this gap by analyzing NDCs through an intergenerational and gender lens. However, CAC can’t do this alone. This is where YOU(th) come in! CAC is seeking applicants to serve as NDC Ambassadors.  As an NDC Ambassador, you will be required to commit to analyzing your country’s NDC over the course of one month. To support you, we will be offering a $125 stipend and training on how to review your country’s NDC through a gender/intergenerational lens. 

CAC is currently seeking applicants from all countries and all are encouraged to apply! Please note that you must be from and/or living in the selected country to be an ambassador for that country.

**Note: While some background in climate action and understanding of climate politics is helpful, it is NOT required for you to participate in this program.
